Want to learn more about preventing or managing diabetes?
This session will focus on preventative and clinical guidelines for reducing risk factors associated with Type 2 Diabetes and better managing the disease. It will be co-led by a health educator and a public health nurse.
Q&A session will follow the presentation; participants will also have the option to receive a free blood pressure and pre-diabetes screenings.
Brittany Dube is a Behavioral Health, Health Promotion, and Emergency Response Specialist for the City of Stamford's Department of Health. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and holds a Master's of Public Health (MPH) degree from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Previous experience includes work with after-school programs, college health education, program evaluation and psychology research.
Marjorye Alday is a registered nurse with Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County and serves as the public health nurse for the Stamford Department of Health's Blood Pressure Management Program. In this role, she leads free blood pressure educational workshops and screenings aimed at helping individuals live better, healthier lives.
