Purpose of Meeting
The 90 minute session will cover the history of the Equity Crowdfunding Industry (now termed "Community Round"), several 'how to' tactics for businesses interested in using a Community Round to fund their businesses, followed by a networking reception. Wefunder uses a provision in the 2012 JOBS Act which allows non accredited investors to purchase equity in early-stage private companies. Startups funded by Wefunder include Zenefits and GoldBelly.
