Event Details
Celebrate Polish-American Heritage Month with music, dance and an art exhibit.
Performers include:
Children from the Slowianie dance group presenting traditional Polish folk dances, including the Oberek, Polka, Krakowiak and Polonaise.
Krystof Medyna on saxophone, performing an original jazz composition.
An art exhibit by local artists.
Registration appreciated.
Polish-American Heritage Month is celebrated in October. In addition to celebrating to the contributions of Polish Americans to the country and the Stamford community, it commemorates the arrival of the first Polish settlers in Jamestown, Virginia in October 1608.
Presented in partnership with the Mayor's Multicultural Council.
