Learn by Rose Cuomo-Milo about the cultural significance and history of Minturno, Italy, and its connection to Stamford. Lecture will be followed by dancers in traditional costume performing folk dances associated with La Sagra delle Regne, an ancient religious festival held in Minturno every summer.

Rosa Cuomo-Milo is the head of the St. Nicholas Early Childhood Center at All Saints Catholic School (ASCS) in Norwalk, where she also teaches pre-kindergarten and runs the Italian Club to introduce Italian language and culture to ASCS students in grades K to 8. A member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Connecticut Association for the Education of Young Children, she also teaches Italian at the Minturnese Club in Stamford. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education; completed studies in piano at the Conservatory of Music Giacomo Puccini; and earned Early Child Development Associate certification from the State of Connecticut. She was born and raised in Minturno, Italy.
