Event Details

Screening of the award-winning short documentary The ABCs of Book Banning, followed by a panel discussion with State Sen. Ceci Maher, State Rep. Corey Paris and Samantha Lee, Co-Chair of the Intellectual Freedom Committee for the Connecticut Library Association. The discussion will be moderated by Ferguson Library CEO, Alice Knapp.

Directed by Sheila Nevins, Trish Adlesic and Nazenet Habtezgh, the film weaves together a montage of young readers and authors who share their reactions to the books that many are attempting to ban in libraries and schools. The voices of those most impacted by those actions inspire hope for the future through their profound insights and inquisitive minds.
