Documentary screening of Entre la plume et l’épée ou de l’égalité des races humaines (Between the Sword and the Pen or On the Equality of the Human Races), the story of Anténor Firmin, author of De l'égalité des races humaines. Presented in French with English subtitles.

The film, a rebuttal to French writer Gobineau’s essay on the inequality between the races, tries to present Firmin in an imaginary monologue where he relates the adventures of his intense and heroic life as a scientist, a politician, a warrior and a disruptive visionary.
