The Friends of The Ferguson Library and the Mystery Writers of America/NY chapter present CrimeCONN 2023, Connecticut’s own one-day mystery writers' and lovers' conference.

This year, authors and crime experts will take stock of the the future of crime writing. There will also be a lunch-time writing workshop titled How to Write a Novel in Today’s World led by Charles Salzberg, author of bestselling Henry Swann mystery series. The New York Times bestselling author Joseph Finder, whose suspense novels include The Switch, and his latest in his Nick Heller spy series, House on Fire, is the keynote speaker.

Panel discussions, interviews, book signings and audience participation are included in this action-packed day. Additional speakers, among them authors, literary agents, publishing executives, medical examiners and book reviewers, are: Mally Becker, Michelle Clark Russ Colchamiro, Reed Farrel Coleman, Dan Conaway, Elizabeth Crowens, Anatole Gershman, Claire Glynn, Rob Hart, Eric Knight, Chris Knopf, Vincent H. O'Neil, Kelley Ragland, Gary Earl Ross, Deborah Goodrich Royce, Charles Salzberg, Alex Segura, Kristin Sevick, Steven Shwartz, John B. Valeri, Sarah Weinman and Wendy Walker.

CrimeCONN will be a hybrid event, presented in person and via Zoom.

Before April 6, prices are $40 per person. After April 6, they are $60 per person and $45 for MWA and Friends members, seniors and students. Livestream registrants pay $25 per person.
