Screening of the classic Carmen Jones, part of a weekly series presenting award-winning movies.

A 1954 interpretation of the Bizet opera Carmen that features an all-Black cast telling the story of a beautiful young woman who is desired by many men but only has eyes for one army officer who happens to be engaged.

Starring Dorothy Dandridge, Harry Belafonte, Roy Glenn, Pearl Bailey and Joe Adams.
