A virtual tour and conversation with Paul K. Baker, Ph.D., Director of University Galleries; Elizabeth Connor Burns and Charles Burns, North Carolina A&T graduates from the classes of 1960 and 1959; Valerie A. Cooper, Arts Facet Co-Chair and Museum Liaison, The Links (Eastern Area); Diane Jellerette, Arts Facet Chair Fairfield County, The Links; Elizabeth Joseph, Associate Director Community Engagement, Ferguson Library.

The University Galleries at North Carolina A&T State University, comprised of the H.C. Taylor Gallery and the Mattye Reed Gallery, located in A&T’s historic Dudley Memorial Building, house art collections that have been called the southeast’s largest repository of history and culture of African American life in North Carolina. The permanent collection is made up of more than 6,000 pieces, and includes works by noted African American artists Romare Bearden, John Biggers, Alma Thomas, Charles Alston, Hale Woodruff and Varnette P. Honeywood.
