Hoopla Bonus Borrows Back for Back-to-School
Hoopla, the digital media service offered by the Ferguson Library that allows users to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, e-books, comics and TV shows, relaunched its August Bonus Borrows program.

Need help finding your next read after finishing a great book? On this Book Lovers Day, and every day, we've got you covered. Simply fill out this form and within 24 hours a librarian will send you three suggestions based on your preferences.

Free Admission for Kids at State Museums
This summer, Connecticut children ages 18 and younger can visit participating museums for free with an accompanying adult who is also a resident thanks to the Connecticut Summer at the Museum program. For more information about participating museums, restrictions, exclusions and block-out dates, visit here. The program, geared for families, not camp or youth groups, is available through September 15.
Participants may be asked to show proof of residency.
Stamford Public Schools Climate Survey
Parents are invited to participate in the Stamford Public Schools (SPS) School Climate Survey. The survey is anonymous and all questions are optional. Families are asked to complete the survey for each child attending SPS. It should only take about 15 minutes to complete.
April is Poetry Month!
Roses are red, violets are blue, now that it's April, we have poetry books for you!
Celebrate Poetry Month with us at the library. Stop in at any library branch and check out a book of poems about your favorite topic. Kids: You can also try to write your own poem and practice your rhyming words.
Bookmobile Month Celebration Coming Up
Calling all Bookmobile fans! Starting April 1, come visit us at any of its scheduled stops around Stamford to get your free bookmarks and help us make a banner to show your love for the Ferguson Library's traveling branch. We'll have canvas and art supplies onboard through the end of the month so you can share your Bookmobile stories with words, art, stickers and more. Visit here or here for stop times and locations.

Friends of Ferguson Library Literary Competition 2022 Now Accepting Submissions
Do you know a budding writer? The Stamford Literary Competition celebrates excellence in student writing. The contest is open to Stamford students in grades 3 through 12 in the categories of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Entries are due February 11. Online submissions only please. Entry form

Online Catalog Offers New Features
Choosing your next read doesn't need to be daunting. The Ferguson Library's online catalog now offers new features that make it easier to find a book you'll enjoy.
Just click on a favorite title, select "details," and you will find other books by the same author, suggested readings, a brief biography and professional and reader reviews. If the book is part of a series, you can also learn what else is available about your favorite character.
