The Greater Fairfield County Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic arm of the Fairfield County Connecticut Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is offering five $3,000 scholarships to high school seniors of color who will pursue post-secondary educational experiences at a four-year college, community college or technical school. One scholarship will be awarded to a student who intends to matriculate at a historically black college or university (HBCU). Submission deadline is March 1. To apply, click here.
Eligible candidates must have earned a cumulative 3.0 grade point average, are in need of financial assistance, and reside in Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk or Stamford. Applicants will be required to submit application and financial need forms, a FAFSA report, a transcript, SAT/ACT scores, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a recent photo.
The foundation's scholarship committee will review applications and make final selections no later than June 1.
