Building One Community (B1C) will host OSHA-30 training that teaches construction workers how to recognize and prevent common safety hazards to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. The four-session course will be conducted in Spanish and cover such topics as fire protection, process safety management, materials handling and storage, motor vehicles, excavations, and concrete and masonry construction.
The training will take place at B1C headquarters Nov. 12, 13, 19 and 20, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The training cost is $50 per person, and it includes the OSHA-30 certification card. Registration required here.
B1C is a Stamford-based nonprofit that serves Fairfield County’s immigrant population by delivering programs and services tailored to its clients needs. Among these is the Skills Development Program, which provides free or low-cost training in high-demand labor areas.
