Every year librarians and teachers from Connecticut form a Nutmeg Book Award Committee that chooses 10 books of fiction that they think 7th and 8th graders may really like. Middle schoolers are given a year to read any or all of these books. Each year at the end of April they may vote for their favorite. Teen Librarian Steve Zampino has recorded a book talk for almost all of this year's middle school nominees. If you would like to hear his book talks to help you choose a book to read, go to the the library's Teen Reads page.
