The City of Stamford Department of Health will offer a free six-week blood pressure management course to Stamford residents who have high blood pressure, take medications to control high blood pressure, or care for someone who has high blood pressure. The course will be held Tuesdays, August 1 to September 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Stamford Department of Health Clinic, 137 Henry Street.
The course will cover what healthy foods to eat, how to check blood pressure at home, the importance of exercise, types of blood pressure medications, typical symptoms in an emergency. and how to speak to your doctor.
