STAMFORD, January 4, 2023 – The Ferguson Library will hold its major fundraiser, A Novel Affair, Thursday, April 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Main Library, DiMattia Building, 96 Broad Street in Stamford. The library will honor Polly O’Brien Morrow and Pitney Bowes with the Ferguson Award.
Polly is Senior Program Manager, Global Corporate Citizenship & Philanthropy at Pitney Bowes and serves as Vice President of the Pitney Bowes Foundation, which focuses on education equity, and the Pitney Bowes Relief Fund, which supports employees and communities in times of need. Her responsibilities include corporate contributions, foundation grant-making, employee giving, disaster response, nonprofit relations, and strategic employee community involvement.
Through her work, Pitney Bowes became one of the Ferguson Library’s first corporate contributors; the Pitney Bowes Foundation has provided significant support to the Ferguson Library since 2005, most notably for consistent funding for Sunday summer hours at the Main Library. Polly has been actively involved in the Library since 2016 and has served on the Library’s board of trustees since 2021.
Pitney Bowes is a global shipping and mailing company that provides technology, logistics, and financial services to more than 90 percent of the Fortune 500. Small business, retail, enterprise, and government clients around the world rely on Pitney Bowes to remove the complexity of sending mail and parcels.
A Novel Affair is the Ferguson Library’s signature benefit, raising funds to help provide library services to the Stamford community. Early registration opens February 15. Tickets are $135 through March 29. After that, tickets are $150. The Junior Professional rate (age 35 and under) is $75.
