In preparation for the November 8 election, the Vote411 initiative has assembled accurate, nonpartisan, general and state-specific information here—think local candidates, sample ballots, election details—for the public.
The League of Women Voters of Connecticut (LWVCT) has also created resources for voters and those involved in voter registration, education and outreach. These include registration and election details and deadlines as well as absentee ballot voting and the new expansion criteria.
In addition to these, the LWVCT is calling attention to the early voting ballot referendum question, which will appear somewhere on the ballot. The question will be: "Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide early voting?" Because Connecticut is only one of four states with no early voting, the LWVCT is spreading the word about the question and reminding voters to answer it, saying a "yes" will expand voter access by making voting easier and offer greater flexibility to all.
The deadline to register to vote is November 1. Find your voting location here.
