STAMFORD, August 28, 2015 – Check out The Ferguson Library’s 3D printer and find out about their eResources when the library participates in PARK(ing) Day September 18. A parking space on Bedford Street near the corner of Broad will be dedicated to the Library from 4 – 9 p.m. as part of this citywide initiative to temporarily transform parking spaces into people friendly public spaces. The Library will also have give-aways for people who stop by the space.

Live music will be provided from 7-9 p.m. at the Ferguson’s ‘parklet’ by Barbara’s Serenade (BarbaraEntertains.com). Cuban vocalist Barbara Espinosa Occhino and her trio will perform a variety of jazz, Latin/international, pop, oldies, and swing music.

In the event of rain, the program will move inside the Library. PARK(ing) Day is organized by the Stamford Downtown Special Services District. Ten other locations downtown are also hosting ‘parklets,’ including Lorca, Franklin Street Works and The Palace.
