STAMFORD, April 17, 2015 – The Ferguson Library’s fifth annual fundraising benefit, A Novel Affair, raised $160,000 for the Library on April 9, with an evening of food and festivities.
The event honored Reyno Giallongo, Chairman and CEO of First County Bank and President of First County Bank Foundation. Mr. Giallongo was awarded ‘The Ferguson Award’ for his service to the Library and the Stamford community. A Novel Affair, which is the Library’s major fundraising event, raises funds for library services and collections.
The evening featured small plates from some of the most popular area restaurants and caterers, (all food was donated) an open bar and wine tastings hosted by BevMax. There were also craft beer tastings courtesy of Charter Oak Brewing Company and Half Full Brewery, and a ‘Giving Bookshelf,’ and live and silent auctions.
